Apprenticeships are the backbone in the formation of highly valued and skilled people in any country. Where apprenticeship systems are implemented, these programs have a significant impact on the economy. International research has highlighted this contribution. A report by the Centre for Economics and Business Research finds that apprenticeships could contribute £3.4 billion to the UK economy by 2022. The report, Productivity Matters: The Impact of Apprenticeships on the UK Economy, found that gaining an apprenticeship raised an employee's gross productivity by £214 per week on average, by boosting their skills.
ASwiss study found that employers in their country earn a net $300 million each year from the work apprentices do while training on the job. In Canada, a 2009 study showed that for every $1 invested in apprenticeship programs, Canadian employers of all sizes and in every province can expect to receive $1.47 in return. In Australia, the focus has been on the importance of apprenticeships in skill formation and job readiness for individuals and the contribution to the skilled labour pool collective. The NCVER has reported that 84.1 per cent of graduates who undertook an apprenticeship or traineeship were employed after training. For those who undertook a trade apprenticeship the result was 90.6 per cent. In addition to these employment outcomes, graduates earned $51,100 per year on average and 88.5 per cent were satisfied with the overall quality of the training.
Needless to say, apprentices need the same professional tools to succeed in their desired field. With the younger blood coming in, hairdressers need the equipment to perform at their highest level to maintain the legacies of their companies or build their own. This why Scissor Tech Australia proudly presents Matsui’s latest addition, the Matsui Apprentice Kit.
The Matsui Apprentice Kit is dedicated to assist in blossoming hairdressers worldwide. Following the tedious and delicate tradition of apprenticeship of steel-making in Japan, these blades are made with the signature cobalt-infused Japanese steel. Its materials originate from the purest iron ore and forged with another metal to create an alloy that lasts for longer periods of time.
Aside from being tough, these shears are designed for comfort! Shaped with a classic look, these scissors feature a slight offset which makes cutting easier for the beginning hairdressers. These were constructed in such a way that the elbows of the stylist are closer to his/her body, avoiding unnecessary actions like “chicken-winging” of the arms. Made with light materials, these shears make are light to use and keeps the user’s hands from being exhausted right away with long durations of usage.
The crowning touch of the set is the Premium Aichei Japanese Steel that shines and stands out. It has the classical look that everyone loves, highlighted with rose gold trimmings to accent the beauty of the steelwork. Our pictures don’t do justice to the elegant craftmanship, so you’d have to see it yourself!
