Process
1. Scissors will be assessed for damage and wear
2 . Scissors are disassembled and scissor set will be checked using precision ground setting gauges.
3. Balance faces of scissors will be reset by hand on a 25 micron diamond stone.
4. Correct scissor cutting angles are measured and honed on the cutting edges. Water cooling is used to stop cutting edge steel softening and blade buckling.
5. Appropriate clam shell or beveled edge profiles are reinstated.
6. Pivot and spring washers will be assessed and replaced where necessary.
7. Cutting tips are re-profiled and points honed.
8. Scissors are re-assembled, oiled and correct cutting tension is adjusted.
9. Scissors are tested for optimal cutting performance.
